Traveler’s diarrhea. It happens to the best of us. No matter how luxurious a hotel is, or how careful one avoids the local waters, traveler’s diarrhea is often unavoidable. When traveling to a foreign country, the body necessarily comes into contact with water, food and bacteria to which it is not used. It’s easy to disrupt the delicate balance of good and bad bacteria in the body, and a day or two of cuddling on the toilet entails. Traveler’s diarrhea upsets your system, it’s embarrassing and a huge inconvenience – and most importantly, it makes you miss out on enjoying your holiday properly!

However, there are ways in which traveler’s diarrhea can be avoided. Taking simple precautions, such as avoiding tap water and washing hands regularly, is absolutely mandatory. But the body can also be taken care of by taking probiotics (friendly bacteria) – in order to increase levels of good bacteria, and to help protect the body from foreign microorganisms. Take a specific probiotic supplement for travel, before and during your vacation or trip.

When preparing for a holiday, we are often ready to put on new clothes. We remember to pack our favorite books, our best clothes, and so on. But often, we forget to take care of our health. This time be sure to remember your sun hats, sun cream, and of course your box of probiotics.

If you pay too much for your vacation, don’t forget that it pays to take care of your gut.
